CSI English Flex-Plate Saddlepads
The heart of the CSI Flex-Plate® Saddlepad is the CSI Flex-Plate®, and now this effective tool is available for the English riding enthusiast.
CSI now offers two English styles for you to choose from: The English Flex-Plate Competition Saddlepad (shown at right above) and the English GP (General Purpose) Saddlepad (shown at right below). Both are available for all purpose, dressage and forward seat style saddles as well as gaited horse saddles based on an English saddle trees.
The Competition saddle pad is meant for riders who compete in dressage and hunt seat disciplines as well as for gaited horse competitiors who use saddles based on English saddle trees. This pad is designed with our English Flex-Plate and provides extra protection over the horse's loins as well as over the shoulder. This pad is designed to be worn under the saddle and over your current pad system. This pad has an introductory price of $300. Price will increase to $350 on June 1, 2009.
The English GP Saddlepad is designed for the more recreational English rider and for schooling. The pad offers the same layered design as our Western pad system so it's perfect for horses with conformation and back issues that affect saddlefit. It's also perfect for schooling horses so they don't get sore from hard work. You can choose from a variety of inserts for the English GP pad including 1/2" and 3/4 PVC foam (not neoprene, it won't gald or sore), foam/felt combo and 100% Merino wool. The English GP pad starts at $300 and priced based upon insert.
The CSI Flex-Plate® is designed to work with a horse’s anatomy and takes into account both muscle and bone structure as well how the equine back shape relates to typical western saddle tree design. When combined with the foam insert layer, the CSI Flex-Plate® Saddlepad virtually eliminates pressure points and back soreness.
